The Godaddy push issue is freaking me out. We are getting errors when we push and buyer tries to accept the domain name. Buyer is about to back out of the deal due to frustration.

Please I need help!

Check to make sure you don't have fast-transfer enabled for the domain. Disable it and try again.

It is not listed for sale. The domain name was sold via outbound efforts and we are at the stage of transferring the domain name to the buyer.

Worth checking.

For this case, both the buyer and seller are Epik clients. As such, I actually know about this case. To be fair to @jideofor, he was at risk of losing a sale that is material for him because he can't deliver a new hand-reg to a buyer. He has been trying in good faith to solve it for days. I was unable to reach Joe Styler and there does indeed appear to be something major broken at Godaddy per the other thread on this topic. I think for a lot of folks, Joe has become the go-to guy and I am sure at times Joe just has to unplug from it all because it wears him down eventually.

I'm glad it was resolved. What was causing the issue?
Not too long ago, Godaddy had update on their system which affected their domain name transfer process.

There is a thread on that here and a lot of domainers were having same issue.

I will create a thread later on to explain how we resolved it.

I think GoDaddy Pushes have sucked for a long long time. Way way too complicated. Ambiguous instructions. Their system not doing what the buyer/seller were intended.

I still can't come to grasp to the fact that how industry giant like Godaddy has messed up interface specially with account change, they should and must learn from likes of Epik, Namesilo and Dynadot quickly.

They will NEVER learn to do this. I think it's deeply embedded in their psyche (?). It's the lawyers running the show. They say they are doing all this to comply with ICANN rules. Whereas most other registrars are also complying with ICANN rules, with a simple solution. What GD is doing is making any easy process, extremely complicated, to the point of breaking. And it IS broken. They should take their proud heads out of the sand and learn from their competitors.

If you asked ICANN which registrars comply with their rules about change of Whois Contact Details. They'd probably say 99% of them. They would not say "only GoDaddy". GoDaddy's procedure is a farce. And broken.

They’ve messed the push system up real bad. I’ve had 3 issues in a matter of weeks. It’s hard to follow the new system. The old way of doing internal pushes was much more easy!

Agree 99%. The 1% is because the old system was also extremely complicated and ambiguous. Which often didn't get the intended outcome. I've never in my whole experience as a domainer, come across such a BAD system, except maybe 1and1's old control panel :)

The email approval is a bad thing and should be eliminated. The numbers beside the domain are also a terrible way to offer a box to click.

It should be like the old days. I initiate a push to your account, it shows up in your pending account changes and you accept or reject. KISS - keep it simple stupid.

Agree 100% about the KISS. They could incorporate whatever they are trying to achieve with these changes in the small print, of the push and acceptance. Just like every other registrar on the planet.

How long ago are you talking about? For me, these pushes have been a problem for what seems like years. I can't even remember a time when they were that easy :)

They were a breeze up until the last few months. Hopefully they revert back to basics.

I've had problems with these pushes for longer than that. Just the instructions have been so confusing and ambiguous, that the eyes of the newbie pusher just rolls. They take a deep breath and just push anyway, because the can't see clearly what option they should choose.

I published my stats in another thread. Which I cannot find right now. But from the top of my head it was of 8 pushes to me in the last (lets say 3 months), something like 80%, had a new 60 day hold imposed. When I has specifically requested that they should push without a new 60 day hold. And my feeling is that these pushes have been a problem for longer than that. But I don't get involved with many pushes. I do try my hardest to avoid them, when purchasing domains.

I hate all this beta testing which goes on with our live control panel. You'd think they would do all this beta testing on a backup. Not on their live systems. Just like the roll-out of all these new control panel "improvements".
