Hello! I have been renewing a handful of domains though godaddy over the years unsure of what I'd do with them. I received an offer on one that's significantly less than the estimated value so I pushed it to a 7 day auction. Is there anything else I should be doing? It seems godaddy is always e-mailing me to renew, upgrade, feature items, but there hasn't been prompting or follow-up since I pushed it to auction. I'd like to let this name and the remaining few related names go this year. Finally coming to terms with the fact I'll never do anything with them!

Just keep an eye on the action, that's all you can do. I believe there are restrictions on posting links for new members on NP. but, that shouldn't prevent you mentioning the auctioning name in plain text.

Aside from that, I just hope you weren't expecting the auction to reach anywhere near the Godaddy valuation. If the opening bid has already been placed and is near a resellers price, It may just stay at that. If there is any wider interest in your domain it would probably only show in the couple of hours before the auction is due to finish

Thank you. It's good to hear that I shouldn't expect the auction to reach godaddy valuation. (Or at least what I needed to hear!) It's FamilyStaycation. I'll break even after all these years of renewal on a few domain names, and that's fine by me. Thanks for the peace of mind!

Also be patient; there may be no more bids, but if there are more bids it's quite common for the bidders to just put a 'watch' on your auction, then jump in at the last few minutes before auction end; that's the time when most auctions get the real action. They want to keep that domain's auction very low in price and way down on the list, so it looks like there isn't much interest in the domain. Until the last few minutes :)

Welcome to Namepros, and good luck with your auction.

What @Bannen said above, is almost certainly how it will play out. It will either start attracting bidders in the last few minutes, or there will be no more bidders and the domain will sell at the current price. I've generally been disappointed with all my sales which I've turned into a 7 day auction. And found, generally, for it to be a cheap place to pickup domains. YMMV (of course). Good luck with your auction. I hope you get a satisfactory price.

Might as well forward the domain to your auction listing. That will let anyone that that types the name in know that their time to buy it is now.
