I am in need of a software for a speific country code domain drop catch. I have done some research and found that there a few services providers but the price they ask are a bit too much. Therefore I wonder if I could find a software to catch .lt domains? If anyone knows any info - It would be appreciated. Thanks.

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
You can try FoxWhois full version for drop catching

Software is not needed...
Just 1 cycled command in Linux terminal to Registrar API.

As a person who has 0 knowledge how to code - it's mission impossible.

.LT? Lietuva (Lithuania)?
Why to catch them???
I'm almost sure that dropcatch competition is ~0 there... except MEGA names.
So handreg-mode is enough.

Country name is correct. It's not a mega or huge domain but it is perfect for blogging that's why I am interested in it. I have contacted some local services which offers dropcatching and I was confirmed that there are some people who are looking for the name and if the name drops - there will be auction for it (of course, if the mentioned service provider snaps it). Having this information in mind I am looking for some additional information on how to succeed and register the name.

If it is already backordered at some specialized service/registrar - then your chances via API are slightly higher than 0.
So forget about "software" and backorder it also...

Wouldn't it be more clever to fill up not only one plan but have also a B, C and other backups? I am already backorder it but there's a chance that the service provider will not catch the domains so it would be smarter to have another plan too.

Another plan (API) works only when you deal with pseudobackorders like GoDaddy...
Almost no any chances via API against serious backorder services.
So if this registrar does .LT backorders for years - forget about "software".

API is only useful to beat another API catchers/domainers...
But NOT against backorders.

What do you call too much ? It's a once-only fee. Buying software or developing your own is going to cost money too.

My advice would be to review the list of accredited registrars:
https://www.domreg.lt/en/registrars/
and shop around

Some registrars may be able to help, even if they don't advertise a regular dropcatching service.

Okay, so I went with snapnames since they had my domain name on the radar. I was almost 100perent sure that they will snap it for me. Turns out - nope, they have failed. What a pitty situation.

We just launched backordr.com for ccTLD drop catching. We will be adding more extensions over the months, but please give it a try! It’s really fast and we have a high catch rate :)

What service/registrar did catch it? I just lost a backorder to Dynadot. Was using dropcatch.com myself. Imagine the odds :(

May I ask how much was that, exactly?

Why: I own a private domain monitoring system in beta, also considering implementing drop catching next. (Note, our system does more, this is just one of its sides) Our first users are really excited about the unusual tld's we feature, so we're considering different avenues in pricing etc. Info could help if possible, thanks.

Edit: If you don't find anything suitable, PM me, I might be able to help.
