I'm a Nigerian and into publishing. I have flare for writing and coining words should not be difficult. I learnt site flipping (based on amazon marketplace) and blogger-blogging has been useful for me in online marketing.

I just felt maybe I should revamp my interest in domaining. I had registered about 10 domains back in 2010 when I first started, a man bid for it and my price was outrageous lol, he never called back.

Dunno, I left these online means of income when I ventured into marketing at some point in time when china phones came to town and was more profitable. I look this way again out of curiosity and need to learn.

Cool .. sounds like your background and past will certainly give you a big head start into domaining!

2-3 years ago there was a huge influx of Chinese money in domains as well .. slowly but surely they are making their way into all corners of the world ... I know they have massive interests throughout Africa.

Anyhow .. whatever happened with those 10 domains? lol

Definitely, I think they have vested interest in Africa's trade and commerce and are willing to do business down to the very micro economic level. Some of the hottest products in the country are sourced from China. I'm not proud that we are a consumer economy. That's a talk for another day.

As to my 10 domains, they fizzled out of hand. I didn't follow through with them, there were too much huddles back then as a Nigerian trying to do internet business, scanty know how and all that, I'd better do other things with my life and time than pursue "the goose that lay the golden eggs" lol.

Then when i'm relatively comfortable, such as now, I can try to demystify the morocco hackers that were defacing some of my wordpress blogs with their stupid virus that really pissed me off at the time. Then I can think again in this direction.
