Hum, I've tried 5 times now but it has only worked 3...

I'm actually testing 1&1 hosting services with this domain name. At the beginning it used to happen a lot but after a few days it resolved just fine...

100% of the time not resolving for me. Whatever URL I post in the URL Bar of my browser. 3 out of 5, means 40% of the time you are unable to connect to the server. Which is REALLY LOUSY hosting. IMHO. I wouldn't expect any better from 1AND1.

Yes, that's bad. Thanks for letting me know anyways. I actually bought their services because they call me to let know they were offering 1 whole year plus a .com for only $12. Afterwards I think it is just 3 or 4 dollars per month. But, it still makes no sense if it doesn't work..

I just successfully reached your domain for the first time :) 1AND1 are basically a web hosting company which has a registrar arm. Their Registry Control Panel works awfully, when it works at all. So although you have registered a domain with them, their main focus is their hosting. As long as you stay with 1AND1, you won't have any problems, except that both their registrar and hosting are awful. You should be mindful that you must also, separately, close your hosting contract with them (for each domain registered), if you sell, transfer, drop your domain registration. The instructions for closing their hosting, is buried somewhere in their ToS, and is not that easy to understand. You are unlikely to succeed the close their hosting on the first attempt. Instructions for closing the hosting are obtuse and difficult. YOU SHOULD NOT IGNORE any hosting reminders. They will put their debt in the hands of debt collectors. Which will add collection costs and will ultimately ruin your 100% clean credit rating.

Nobody except mostly noobs use their services which they make then sound like good deals. But what you get is actually lousy services. Which you have already experienced. I would say that they are possibly the worst registrar/hosting company to get tangled up with. They make it extremely difficult to leave and will pursue their debts to the ends of the earth. Unless you follow their obtuse instructions and actually succeed in cancelling their hosting (on each domain, individually).

No domainer will buy any of your domains at 1AND1 unless they have mastered all the nuances at 1AND1. Which few will ever do, or master.

My advice to you would be to transfer every domain you have at 1AND1 to another registrar. NOW. And to make sure you close both the registration and hosting for each domain at 1AND1. There are millions of better CPanel hosts which will allow you to have a reliable hosting for multiple domains at a reasonable price.

Sorry for this bad news. Which probably comes too late for you. But maybe somebody else might be able to be put off ever signing up with 1AND1.

Whao! thanks for letting me know men. As you can see I'm new to this (I started all the domains thing in December 2017).

I did it as a 'therapy' as I was spending my first winter in the US after spending almost 20 years in the Caribbean. Now, I literally want to stay with only one or two domains to develop as a hobby (SCM.Zone, because I majored in supply chain management and probably USAdirectory.info).

In a few months I have gathered and hand registered dozens of names... It is a ridiculously nice, but addictive thing that I will leave in order to concentrate in other 'things'.

Well, thanks a lot for the advice. I will certainly look to follow it. Luckily I only registered three names with them and their hosting.

Best regards,

JC

All registered domains come with their hosting. AFAIK. You shouldn't assume that any of their domains don't have hosting. It's their business model to sell hosting with every domain registered with them. Oh well. You will find out soon enough when the demands start coming thru.
