I was hoping for $1 transfers...

I don't have domains at NameCheap how can I renew them. lol

17% off is indeed pretty lame. A transfer to Godaddy and a bunch of other registrars is cheaper than to renew, so what's the incentive? Too bad, Name-Not-So-Cheap.

The only thing I renew there is my one .io, the rest always goes to namesilo - cheaper, actually usable (not buggy) control panel and marketplace with only 7.5% commission.

So it's their 17th Birthday and they offer 17% off ...let's wait for their 99th anniversary!

NameSilo is incredible but transfer to Name.com, NameBright.com, or Dynadot (with a code) is a little cheaper than NameSilo. Just saying.

I was actually thinking about future renewals - I'm too lazy to hop back and forth between registrars to save a dollar or 2.

More promotion on Namecheap's b-day, value shared hosting plan costs only $1.00/year with code: HOST4ABUCK

I've just used the code FCDISCOUNT (20% off) to renew my 2 domains .COM ($8.55 each). It's better than the default promotion on their birthday (17%, $8.87 each)

Man, what a mess their site is.

I selected 3 .io to renew. Showed the 17% off for their birthday. It then told me it chose my previous credit card and if thats OK to click Pay. I wanted to use a different card, so I went through the process of adding another card. When I was done I got a notice that my card was charged for the amount of only 2 of the domains in my cart. They dropped one of the 3 domains out of the cart for some odd reason. I also dont recall ever pressing OK to finally check out. I wasnt even in the cart when I got the notice to my phone that my card was charged for 2 of the 3 domains!

So I check the cart, the domains are still there. 2 of them. But I logged onto my credit card account and I see a Pending Charge for those two domains. But the expiration date is not advancing one year for either of those two domains. So I go back to the cart and I click Pay and my card is declined. Checked all of the details and its correct (it would have to be in order for me to show a pending charge anyway - but I checked).

So I am giving up. This is to whacky for me. I'll transfer these 3 names out as they come closer to expiration date. I already spent way too much time on this and when it should have been 1-2-3.

As I am looking at my domain list, I also notice a domain that I transferred out 3 weeks ago STILL IN MY ACCOUNT! Its in both NameSilo AND NameCheap.

I am done with that place. Too many bugs. Their new interface really stinks.
