While it is interesting to read about five and six and seven-figure domain name sales, the reality is most domains do not sell for that much. Most people looking for a domain name only want to spend maybe $50 max. So when domains are priced $xxxx, they tend to not sell. SEDO used to report quarterly sales and would show median .COM sales on their platform around US$600. Of course the registries and certain high-profile domainers seem to regularly produce five-figure sales. The rest of us humans don't seem to fare as well. What has been your personal experience with sales?

(median means in the middle, not necessarily average - sales of...

$5000, $1500, $600, $250 and $100

would mean the median sale is $600 as there were two sales higher and two sales lower.
