Hi folks,
I have been searching for some software sellers for management of institute! In other words I needed an institue management software system but I am getting quite confused in choosing the genuine software developer and seller due to long lists of websites in Google!
So May I know how to choose the right seller for institute management system? I don't want to make my money wasted on any cheap quality level software! Help will be appriciated!

Thanks,

Hello Adrian98,

Vendor evaluation, especially in a type of ERP software that you are looking for, requires detailed analysis vis` a vis` the costs. Just a recommendation of a software will not do you much good.

Amongst other things:

1. Identify your requirements.
2. Look for the list of institute/campus management software vendors.
3. Match the features of the software with your requirements.
4. Cost of Software
5. Shortlist the vendors based on # 3 and #4
6. Check their experience with the software and how long they have been selling/promoting it
7. Training and User manuals, how robust are they?
7. Maintenance part of the the software package?
8.How much does AMC cost and what it entails
9. If not all requirements are met, how customizable is the software.
10. The ease and cost of doing # 9

These are just some points on top of my head...Hope this helps

:)

Questions to Ask:

How many members/students?
How many staff/teachers?
Simultaneous Access?
Classes online vs Material online?
etc.

+ What domainventure said

If you're starting a school with 1,000 students vs just creating a website with 0 to start?

For one you need a full solution - for others you could probably get by with Drupal Commons or similar other free CMS (pay for support).

You need to be more far more specific.
