A nice geodomain - LongIsland.com - occupies the #2 spot on this week's Big Board after being brokered for $370,000 in a deal handled by RickLatona.com

:gn:

Did the sale of LongIsland.com (parent company, Invision.com LLC) encompass more than just a very good Geo domain name? The site that is still up there now says "Long Island's Most Popular Website™" ... and "LongIsland.com Since 1996"; probably lots of established traffic, visitors/members, clients, and loyal $ paying advertisers IMHO. :gl:

Thanks,
Jeff B-)

Wow. I love reading DN Journal.

It's always inspiring and motivational. Some really awesome sales there.

There's already a thread dedicated to Flying.com.

Poker.org

Good domain, but the extension seems a little silly.

Regardless, $1,000,000. Wow.

Jeff,

Do you speak in italics?

Garrison Keillor was once described as "speaking in italics."

Your posts crack me up, even when I don't agree with them.

:hehe:

It is a good read, especially if you have lots of domains in your portfolio and are hoping for light at the end of the recession tunnel.

HOWEVER, don't get too inspired. DNJournal publishes auction/sales data from at least one admitted shill-bidding fraudster. Do you trust that sales data? Additionally, DNJournal states that the data they publish is the data "reported" to them. At least some of that data comes from admitted scammer(s).

Anyway, enjoy the read but realize it may be the domain feel-good fix based on baloney.

Garbage in, garbage out. IMHO, that's DNJournal'a "reported" sales results. DNJournal, that's the site that apparently holds another shill-bidder, Adam Dicker, in high esteem, with photo(s) of Dicker dining on steak dinner instead of shunning him for driving up TDNAM bids while VP of TDNAM at Godaddy.

Believe what you want. There's corrosion under the shiney cladding at DNJournal.

In a sense, I'm surprised flying.com went for 7-figures. But it was a great sale, nevertheless. I would have preferred porker.org but that's just me.
