The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
i would link them if they are related, otherwise i wouldn't.

Humm.. I usually have some sites interlinked. I think one thing is common in them and that is that I am the owner of them all. So I have interlinked them. It might be a good idea to only link the relevant ones. But on its about page or contacts page or in copyright section you can always link to the company site of yours.

Thanks.

50 sites with sitewide links may be considered spam. If it makes sense interlink the related sites or link out from the hub sites.

what is hosting got to do with linking them all together?

linking is putting a link on each site most probably listing them on each or create a domain showing off all your portfolio so you can just quote one domain every time you are asked by someone for your domain portfolio.

I believe he means that all the sites will have the same IP by being hosted together.

so many sites linking to each other with the same IP address can lead to a search engine disaster ( as in you could loose your rankings)

*this is from what i understand..if someone disagrees with me please correct me.

You are fine if the sites are not interlinked with sitewide links.

As long as it makes sense for the user you should be o.k.

some interlinks at each site are ok, even if in same server.

Sure you can do that as long as it isn't excessive.

However, the authority and trusted sites can pretty much do what they want.

linking 50 unrelated sites to each other is not natural, and it would be stupid to not worry about conforming your sites to google.

stocks,

if your goal is to pass link juice between the 50 pages in order to increase your PR or gain rank for your related keywords on Google, then you're going to run into some problems. especially, if you're hosting all 50 domains on the same IP address.

to Google, this looks like a link farm, which is an intentional "spammy" method of manipulating the search engines. there are ways to avoid looking like blatant spam, like hosting your sites on different IP blocks, but it's just a matter of how aggressive you're willing to get with your tactics, and whether or not you're ok with the possibility of getting your domains nuked.

Last May Google penalized a lot of REAL ESTATE websites due to excessive reciprocal linking. Here's a discussion of 14 pages and 132 replies concerning devaluation of reciprocal links in the real estate industry

Here's a post by Rand Fiskin discussing the penalties that Google hit the real estate industry with for interlinking sites into reciprocal link networks:

The relevant ones can be linked together, a page with 50 links can counted as spam. You can use three way for the related ones.

I would suggest, if you can afford, to get 3 or more hosts. Linking sites together in one IP address may create suspicion from search engines.

I think awaken touch a good point...

STORY

to reg as many as high/low pr deleted domains ( from pr2 to pr5)
categorize them
for each category , make some changes (add some/same keywords content)
wait till they cached

NEED ADVICE OR COMMENT
Same IP (same server) will cause spam how can avoid that?

there are different tie together strategies (MAPPING) any of u experienced which one is the best and share with us

50 sites interlinked under the same server? :D

Keep the linking relevant and not to manipulate your PR and SERP - and if possible, make them "nofollow" so as not to get into any trouble :p

Even 50 sites may be o.k. if they are all related. I saw might because no one can be sure with Google. If the links are sitewides than I beleive you are in for trouble. But a "our sites" page with 50 related links 'should' be be o.k. and will benefit the user.

I would consider a PHP script for creating a database of sites you can put on all sites and can be updated and changes easily - not sure if it would be suitable for you

50 sites on the same hosting account will have a same ip right? So I do not think that it will be that helpful to generate high search engine rankings that way.

How about if you have sitewide links from a forum on a different host and its related? Or should I just use the signature for the links only?
