Trademark Confusion...

About the Amazon name, I agree. Don't reg it if you're going to link it to their site. But on the other hand, Amazon is a river in South American, so if you are selling authentic clothes that are made by locales on the Amazon river, and you bought the name Amazon.clothing, then they can't argue...

.PRO versus .GURU which is better?

My 13 year old daughter said it wisely: ".guru is for those who teach, and .pro is for someone who is a professional at their work". So, I would say that there is a use for both of them.

single letter.... It's kind of cool..... but in reality, who would actually use a single letter domain name? I make websites for a living (real ones) and I wouldn't use a single letter name simply because it doesn't say anything. It's boring. .. just saying.. :guilty:

How I aready lost money on a new gTLD

I've done lot's of per-registrations with 101domain, and I've always had my money returned if I didn't win the name. Maybe it depends on which registrar you're using?

Navigate "by the gut" UNTIL you get rich & comfortable enough..

I've had the same questions about the public accepting the new names, will it be known enough for everyone to start using them? And it's true about the end user, most people I ask haven't heard of it before. But... I believe that IT WILL BECOME POPULAR!!! Why do I say that? Because nobody can...
