Private registration
I'd recommend POBox.org, they are a flat monthly fee for as many domains as you want and they offer far more protection than a registrars whois privacy.- Points: 0

Would GoDaddy renew have different prices?
Godaddy has really convoluted renewals because they are just trying to milk as much money out of you as they can. They grew by being cheap, now they are making money on renewals and realize that a slight increase = a lot more profit.- Points: 0

New and scared !
My advice would be prepared to be VERY patient. Domains have a lot of value for sure, but they are not a very liquid asset, meaning you can't expect to just flip a switch and sell them for what they are worth a month later. Selling a domain for what it's worth can easily take years to find the...- Points: 0

Put a for sale link on the page In my opinion, the single best way to get exposure is to say the domain is for sale on the domain itself.
