vBulletin goes Web 2.0?!

Loads of new features aimed straight at community building: public messaging, expanded profiles, galleries, social groups and more. I like the tags, clouds and the post edit history look very useful.

Google Checkout vs. PayPal

Wow, that was worded poorly. Sorry guys. Should have been / meant to say that Google processes transactions on their site only. And with Paypal it's possible to process the order on your site. Where from the buyers point of view, processing would be leaving your site to go to the payment...

How much does it cost to start a forum

There are converters for popular ones, like pbpbb to VB and SMF to VB. Short answer is not too difficult as long as they aren't heavily modified.

Established Forum For Sale!

The stuff that's important for the VB license is: Which VB license did you get? Owned License or Leased. When does it expire? (when did you purchase it) Got any additional support still active? Like Phone Support. And do you have a list of what changes were made that's different from the...

How much does it cost to start a forum

Most popular forums software have converters available, so it's fairly easy. Starting with phpbb or smf will leave you in good shape.

Google Checkout vs. PayPal

Google Checkout does not share the customer's credit card number with merchants. Some buyers use Google Checkout so they can avoid giving their credit card number to unknown merchants.

Need Seo? Only Company On the Web With Full 90 Money Back Guarantee

I looked at your PR2 website but do not see "SEO" mentioned at all. And I show a keyword density of zero for "SEO" - is this the correct site to look at for your "keyword specific optimization to get maximum results" seo service?

Cheap Merchant account service

You can still get free processing with Google Checkout until 2008. You are going to have to pay someone something to process the order. Typically it's going to cost you AT LEAST 2% and 20 cents per transaction. Many 3rdParty processors will charge you more than that plus a monthly fee, plus a...

Tearing my hair out in sheer exasperation HELP!

Easy way to start is: Find a webhost that will offer you a cPanel hosting account with RVSitebuilder. They should also provide a discussion forum with good response times to support new people like you. There are lots of crappy (slow loading, 5% downtime) cPanel hosts for $5/mo. Grab an...

Not true. There are many very successful websites using free foum software, like phpbb, which make money. I'll give you one example: http://www.thesamba.com/vw/

Looking for FREE website developer

Free unlimited storage for 20k users? Plan on a monthly budget of $USD400-500 for a single fully managed dedicated server with 20TB bandwidth. More than a couple hundred concurrent users and you will need more servers. I don't think a $99 budget box at rackspace is going to help retain members.
