Why do so many people register so many shit domains?

Looking through expired domains I can't believe how many completely worthless domains have been registered. Like 100,000 a day. Are there that many idiots or is it just SEPS spammers auto registering names?

I let it go because I could care less. It stands for an LLC I use to have (actually it's dormant, but still on the books). Moved on to other projects and a new LLC. I wondering if this guy thinks he can sell it back to me at $5K. I might give him $15-20.

I like private registration because I'm not crazy about my home address being out there. I've also gotten a lot of junk mail because of domains I've registered in the past. I'm thinking if I get into this for real it would be best to make an LLC (it costs $50 in my state) and get a mail box...

Is NameJet's pending delete text files fairly comprehensive of the the pending delete universe? Is trolling the pending delete list worth while? I made some simple filters in python to filter out what I think is garbage. I could get a lot more complicated with word lists and python's NLTK...
