Getor Host nodes limited

They are very defensive about their definition of "unlimited". I once tried to help someone on their forums who had a very heavy site. I recommended a VPS and one of HostGator's staff said "he doesn't need a VPS because our shared hosting is unlimited". Jack

Whcms

Hello, You can do that with WHMCS but it looks really, really un-professional. I believe that if you take any shortcuts your business will suffer as a result. It looks bad enough when people keep the portal page as it is let alone using it across the whole site. Even spending $100 on a...

Host reccomendation

Hello, Fatcow seem to have some very good reviews so I am sure you would be happy with them. As others have said unlimited offers are not to be taken seriously. Regards, Jack

Finding Your Next Hosting Company

I agree. Many people always buy more than they need. This will always rise the hosting costs. Jack

Transfer domain to GoDaddy problems.

I agree with Rob. I think the best thing to is to wait it out a bit. The first domain name I ever transferred to Godaddy took over a week to complete. Jack

[Warning] Fusedhosting.net

As far as late payment fees and redirecting your site until payment is made I think it’s a more than reasonable thing to do. If this weren’t in place 90% of people wouldn’t be bothered about paying in time. If the host has to spend time chasing up late payments they won’t have time to provide a...

Online store

Hello, I agree with ldcdc. Zen Cart and OScommerce is the most popular software for starting an online store. Once the software is installed you will have a fully functional online store. Once installed you are free to download a paid or free template/theme to change the design of your online...

Anyone else experiencing slow speeds from Magmahost?

Hello, What type of website are you hosting with them? It could be your website but 1-2 minutes is a very long time so it seems to be the server more than anything. My advice is to move to another host. Jack

Webhosting spam rule help

I think most people have misinterpreted the question. If I understand correctly you would like to create email accounts on your hosting account for others to use? If so I recommend you speak to your host about this. I think it will cause problems for you though. Jack

Managed VPS problem

That sounds very stupid to me since a managed VPS means they should at least install the control panel and OS for you. My advice is to find a reliable VPS provider. I have a small VPS with igxhost.com and have been very happy with their service. Their support will do pretty much anything to...
