    Domainers Are Delusional

I've been away from active buying for quite some time now. I've been busy learning development and trying to make money off my "dead" domains. Having developed some domains and taken them to $10/day from $0/year, I can say that I have gathered some knowledge about domains, and development. A...

Pirate Bay founders sent to jail

I actually support these guys. I know what they're doing is illegal, and I understand that many companies are losing millions, but then, there's a reason for that. I use Pirate Bay sometimes. Last torrent I downloaded was the new U2 album, "No Line on the Horizon". I was somewhat disappointed...

    Opinions on Kevin Ham?

dude, if you're already focusing on the stories of failure, then it doesn't make any sense to be even doing this. Yes, they got some great domains at reg fee. So what? They were there when the opportunity was, and you and I were not (oh well, some of us - like me, and perhaps you - were too...

What I've Learnt In Two Months Of Domaining

I've been domaining for a very less time: just 2 months. But frankly, during this time, I've read and researched a LOT (my 600+ posts on this forum would prove that:) What I've found in the past two months is that the domaining business is extremely competitive, and changes VERY VERY fast...

sales Sold Three Names This Week For Total $168000

Hi Riz, I'm getting back into domains after a golden run way back in 2008. I had similar success back then (see my post history). Wondering if your website/Linkedin are of any substantial help in selling?

information What's the current state of typo traffic?

Thanks for the welcome back :) I took the time off to get a Master's degree, learn new skills, and build an agency. I had a great start to domaining until the 2008 crash ruined the market for a few years. I remember individually emailing LLL.com owners and bagging a few deals for $x,xxx...

Newbie looking for a quick review of a Domain

waaaay too long. Stick to domains that either focus on very strong keywords ("LeatherJackets.com") or have a brand name that instantly pops - something you'd see in a real store in your city (like "CarWorld.com")

    Domainers Are Delusional

Just a few tips: 1. Pick low competition, high CPC keywords with at least 3000 EXACT searches per month (not Broad or Phrase) in the Google Adwords Keyword tool. 2. If you use Wordpress, use pages instead of posts (i.e., make the site static, not blog style). 3. Write at least 10 articles...

    domain Please appraise neo.in

Neo Cricket is the largest Cricket channel in India (cricket is the most popular sport in India). I would think that it gets a lot of uniques. Hold out for upwards of 2k.

What is the Biggest Offer, you have turned down?

45k for a LL.org that I had to sell for 37k at an auction a month later (yes, yes, hindsight is wonderful)

    Current Value For NNN.com's?

8-9k Premium numbers exclude 4 and 6. Repeating numbers are better Area codes are even better Get triplets of the same number, and you're sitting on 50k in cash.

In 2010 & beyond; What will constitute a TLD then?

YOU have researched ONLY .mobi But here you're casting wide opinions about other TLDs you yourself mention you don't know much about. You might know a lot about .mobi and I don't doubt that for one bit. But it would be nice if you limit your opinions to your area of expertise, instead of...

Global markets plunge on U.S. recession fears

Right on. The problem started for the US when some of the worst things were done by the man who is was expected to do the best. I guess the despair stems essentially from the fact that the man chosen to lead the nation and be the ambassador for the country ends up doing all the wrong things when...

Global markets plunge on U.S. recession fears

I'm leaving the US permanently in a month. And before I leave, I will tell you one thing: the US is not what it used to be. Its not the promised land anymore. Neither economically, nor socially. This time the recession WILL come, and it will come hard and long, unless there are some drastic...

    Is it just me

For one thing, in the 6 months that I've been here, I've seen too many "Official" threads being started off. Funny thing is, most of these "Official" threads are started by domainers who don't have much experience themselves. If RJ or Adam Dicker of DNF start "Official" threads, I would...

Do you work 16 hours a day domaining ?

eeks man....you need a vacation but I'll agree with you on one count: tv is full of worthless info. I got rid of mine 6 months back too...haven't missed it yet :)

    .mobi Some Interesting Research...

I've been looking at premium .com names (I mean the true premiums - Download, Shop, Books, etc,) and their equivalent .mobis.. Now many major corporations own premium .com names. But I couldn't find any premium .mobi names owned by big corporations, only domainers. None of the companies that...

Will domain prices double in Jan 2008 ?

you know what, this is what I fear too. That .coms are getting just so expensive that they might not even find any buyers, except for the biggest of companies. Very few people would be willing to pay a million bucks for a LL.com today. Thats why you see so few sales.
