Dynadot steal your domains

We list domains in our auctions "some time" after they expire. In the case of a UK domain, this happens about ~80 days after expiration. That is what happened to the OP. So no, we didn't steal his domains. "Here is the icing on the cake, they have one of my domains on sedo !" We don't...

Dynadot refusing to unlock account, what are my options? ...

Many people get locked out of their accounts (or lock their accounts). Many times for the reasons you've stated above. Some people get locked out many times in the course of their history with us. They simply email us and we remove the lock. An account would not be secure if we allowed...

Dynadot.com's annoying 30 days auction lock

There is fraud, I'm sure every Registrar deals with it. That isn't the situation with our auctions, so prepayment isn't the issue, even though that was mentioned earlier in this thread. It seems that there was some confusion between our auctions and our marketplace when this thread was...

Dynadot steal your domains

You only need to email us if you want to transfer a GTLD domain after it expires. ICANN doesn't really take a position on what should or should not happen to the Whois information after a domain expires, so some Registrars choose to replace it with expired info and others choose not to.

As far as I can tell, Pheenix changes around $19.00 at a minimum, so we would still beat them by a few bucks. Ideally, as we continue to beef up our system, hopefully the rest of them get lazy and stay the same, we can become more competitive with the more valuable domains. :)

I don't know, probably not. Those who use the API, typically try to catch their own domains, so they don't even bother with our back ordering system!

The traffic is provided to us from Verisign (in the case of COM/NET domains). Though, I always encourage people to do their own research to determine what the traffic may actually be. No traffic is provided for ORG domains.

How do services like Pool and Dynadot gather dropping domains?

If you can't become a Registrar, I know there are websites that have lists with domains dropping and their expected drop date and time. That said, if they are on the internet, everyone else has them too. I don't know how those lists compare to lists we may get, but it's a good place to...

Trademark for my company & owning plural and singular in multiple domain extensions?

+1 Filing a UDRP complaint costs about $1500. Court costs more than that. So, if you think you will get large enough that someone may later pick up your dropped names, protect them. That said, it's kind of a losing proposition, IMO, since there are over 200 extensions...
