.info Why in your opinion the .info tld isn't fairing well

It's actually really very, very simple. Businesses make money. Services that solely provide information rarely do. .info, as an extension, lends itself to 'wiki' style websites, such as 'Computer Information', 'Dog Breed Information', 'Cat Health Information' etc. This means that .info...

Lowball Comments and Insults - Bad for Business! Opinions?

Agreed with Stub. Just because someone enters with a 'lowball' offer, doesn't mean that their pockets aren't substantially deeper. Plus, insulting someone on a public forum isn't exactly the best way to show that you are a professional seller. If I am interested in a domain in the 'Make Offer'...

Domain Appraisal Folder is Losing Value

I don't completely disagree with you that sometimes appraisals can be unhelpful - anyone can look at a domain and throw a $ value against it without any justification. There is, however, a time and a place for a simple "$0 / $reg fee, if you are lucky" and that is when the domain is just so bad...

Domain Appraisal Folder is Losing Value

To be perfectly honest, I tend to find that if the OP wants more information regarding an appraisal, he will ask further questions in the thread. Re: the Nazii thread - I agree with everyones comments. The domain would always be associated with the word 'Nazi', meaning that would hinder its...

Domain Appraisal Folder is Losing Value

Erandi, It's worth remembering that people don't always have the time to give a step-by-step breakdown of how they worked out an appraisal. If you've been in the market long enough, then you tend to have a feel for what a domain is likely to be worth without spending a lengthy period of...

Domain Appraisal Folder is Losing Value

To be perfectly honest, I think the main issues here are; a) certain people feeling that appraisers aren't giving a level of appraisal that they would consider acceptable - there's been no realistic solution for this for the past 7 years - and it's easy to see why, especially when the...

Resignation

I don't think that is a particularly fair point. Many of the posters in this thread have been members for years and have posted reams of insightful and thought provoking material. This thread has allowed people to engage in a debate about what they feel NamePros needs to do to improve...
