Do you make a living selling domains?
Shit - just my family credit card bills are around $10K CAD per month... Of course that doesn't include nearly all the monthly bills. Average home in Canada is around $500K, and in BC where I live, its $730K. It easily takes 6 figures to live here - which is why most families need both husband...- Points: 11

Never say never. I picked up a 1-word .ca in TBR auction for under $500 in June 2016. Sold it for low 6-figures in under 2 years. It used to be that domains revoked due to RIVs were dropped real time, not through TBR, meaning they would drop any time of day when some CIRA employee got around to it deleting it. That was a mistake. Got lazy and missed it doing renewals I guess. I tried to get it back at minimum bid level but no luck. Not too big of a deal. It never had a single inquiry anyways. I had a $4K + HST sale today, so that more than offset the sting of losing it. :-)- Points: 7

Just to be clear here, when maple says "one word generic" it is a bit misleading. What is 100% accurate is that the domains that get the most traffic are the ones that are confusingly similar to popular brands. Specifically: 1. Typos of popular websites.
