I used to keep all email on my own computer but then my hard drive crashed and I lost it all. When I got a new hard drive I just did an Imap account instead of POP so that I didn't have to worry about that. Maybe I'll just swap back to POP and make a backup to upload more frequently. That's what I was afraid of. I don't mind losing the hosting, I mostly used it as a dropbox type thing anyway. I'm more upset at losing the domain itself and access to my email.
