Bidding on your own names at NameJet...?

Namejet will never do that. They say they have modified their system to prohibit sellers to bid on domains they have listed, but at the same time will continue to allow sellers to list domains they don't own. Shill bidding will simply assume another form and continue as if nothing happened.

Bidding on your own names at NameJet...?

If he wanted to buy some of your domains, wouldn't have been easier for him to negotiate with you directly? Why would anyone go through the hurdle of listing domains he wants to buy in a public auction meant to attract more buyers?

Defunct news site Examiner.com now heating up at GoDaddy expired auctions

Regardless of where the link takes you, that price is from the ongoing GoDaddy auction, not from an earlier Afternic listing. If you check now, you'll see it has been updated to $69666, which just like $11250, happens to match a bid amount placed during the auction.

Defunct news site Examiner.com now heating up at GoDaddy expired auctions

The "partner site" is GoDaddy Auctions and that's actually an earlier auction price. If you check in a day or two, you'll see the same listed for sale at the updated auction price.

question I accepted a $7G offer. Then find out buyer is whale. Can I cancel?

I would go ahead with the sale myself, but I don't think word of mouth matters in selling domains to end users. People and companies buy the domain name they want from whoever owns it, not whatever domain the nice seller happens to have for sale.

Is this a common GoDaddy practice?

That's disgraceful and it suggests that we all are just one bad employee away from major theft happening.

opinion I have passed $700 offer for hand reg domain, did I make a mistake?

Even so I would not read too much in a first offer. Personally until I've had a back and forth conversation with a buyer or broker, I consider every offer, even the ones at fair prices, the same way as generic inquiries.

debate Why are gambling domain names so popular?

For the record, it was 3 years, not 3 months. I do agree though that auction prices are crazy and have been for some time now.

    sales Casinos.org sold for $400,000

The buyer is not going to be a casino or a casino organization of some sort. Most likely it will be a super affiliate that reviews online casinos and gets paid commissions to send traffic to them.

Is this a scam - Help Please

First rule of the con: Find someone who wants something for nothing, then give him nothing for something. And this is exactly what this scam does: they look for owners of domain names who think they can get something (in this case 350 ETH or $40k) for nothing (a worthless domain) and then give...

Bidding on your own names at NameJet...?

Unless they change their policy allowing Namejet sellers to list third party domains for auctions, there will always be a risk of shill bidding. The best way to reduce it imho is to implement a KYC (know your customer) process for sellers and one for buyers that sign up to the site.

Is this a common GoDaddy practice?

I just heard back from Afternic: "The domain LLLLLLL.COM never actually.moved from your GoDaddy account. Based on the information on hand, a shopper placed the domain in their cart, which resulted in a hold being placed on the domain. However, the shopper never followed through and completed...

Is this a common GoDaddy practice?

I've been a happy GoDaddy/Afternic customer for 10 years, but the other day I've noticed a five figures domain missing from my GoDaddy account. Knowing that domains listed for fast transfer on Afternic are exempt from the DTVS process (GoDaddy phone call to confirm a transfer out) and than when...

    What's WRONG with NamePal?

Have you bought any domains through them? Did you try to transfer the domains out? I've bought 15 domains in the month of March and have been trying without any success to transfer them out for the last 2 months. Namepal email support never replies and their phone service is just an answering...

    Domain marketplaces search tool

Does a tool that searches across different domain marketplaces exist? Something like ExpiredDomains.net does for deleting and deleted domains, but for make offer and BIN domains on all major marketplaces (Sedo, Afternic, Uniregistry, etc).

discuss Alternative ways to Earn Revenue on names

This used to work 10 years ago. Nowadays unless you curate the content, I don't see news aggregation making any money. Actually I would be very surprised if you can get an Adsense account approved just for that.

Made my first Outbound sale (all the sweat aside it was pretty easy)

As everyone else congratulated you, I'm going to be the one that goes out on a whim and tells you that not "every sale is a sale" (as someone else claimed). Even if you put the time to find potential end users and email them, not every one of your 100 domains will sell (no matter how small the...

domains Investing in LLLL.com – A Starter Guide

1% movements don't bring much profit unless you trade on margin and/or have a leverage account. And if that's the case, the comparison is still wrong as last time I've checked a $1000 on the domain market doesn't buy you $10000 in domains.
