Nice of Paypal to help you even when the payment was marked as Gift. Thing is Paypal charges a fee for providing that extra protection when you mark a payment for goods or services. I think a lesson is learnt that protection is worth the fees.

sueing is not a big term in India. Justice system in India pretty bad and not like US where people sue and can get big compensation. I am from India and don't see any potential. People here pay bribes to police and politician and gets case settled out of court. No sensible person gets involved...
