Joke Thread: This Will Make You Laugh

I don’t have time to read umpteen pages of jokes but I thought I’d make a contribution. Hope this hasn’t been posted here already. -- Dave was bragging to his boss one day, “You know, I know everyone there is to know. Just name someone, anyone, and I know them.” Tired of his boasting...

What are you listening to at the moment?

The cars outside the window of the office. Colleagues to the left and front me of scrolling their mouse wheels. Fun times!

    Japan Earthquake

Hahah. I didn’t mean the Japanese turning down aid because it comes from Christian organisations. I meant people using Fukushima to evangelise Japan as a non-Christian nation. I agree though – seeing the Japanese come together is fantastic. : )

    Japan Earthquake

I suppose it depends how indignant I was feeling about people imposing their religious sensibilities on others at clearly inappropriate times.

Brilliant businesmen we never hear of

This isn’t so surprising. I think most of the planet’s wealth is held in the hands of men who’re smart enough to keep their names out of the media.

    Japan Earthquake

People are sending BIBLES to a Shinto / Buddhist nation?!

    Facebook in a new light...

Keeping mine on l33t speak for a bit. I also find I can view FB in a new light by unscrewing the bulb in the room and replacing it with a red-tinted one. : P

    Internet Marketing / E-commerce Universities?

I think most reputable universities offer a degree in marketing now. However I don’t think they offer anything that a few months research on the net and on-the-job experience can’t provide. For instance lots of companies offer marketing internships. That provides the benefit of marketing...

    Ray's Marketing Tip #1 - Visitor / Membership Conversion

Ray - if you keep bumping things I’d look into getting glasses. Of course 'look into getting' might not be the best phrase for something that has trouble seeing.

    Best submitter?

Resort not to automated submission robots! For these are like the replicants of Philip K. Dick renown – and like Harrison Ford’s Deckard the Google bots shall surely gun them down.

    Forum Promotion Techniques - Suggestions?

If the forum brings together groups of people that’ve previously been disparate it should grow naturally. For instance I know someone that created a forum for professionals in the prop industry not long ago – something that’d never been done before. It meant visitors of themselves had things to...

Fastest Time to Have Your Site Ranked Google Page 1?

I’ve done it inside a week. That was for one search phrase and the domain name included that. However this isn’t a particularly useful question. : P

AdWords shows ads for unrelated keywords, sometimes

True. In fact I’ve done this using phrase match so I’m not sure what I was saying.

    Question On Adwords Tool

$0.18 should be fine. However it’s worth keeping an eye on the ad’s average position too. Too low and you could be missing out on a lot of clicks that a slight bid increase might deliver.

AdWords shows ads for unrelated keywords, sometimes

Precisely. So since broad match means leaving things to guess work it’s inefficient.

    Buying ads, clicks, with Adwords

Chances are if you once received a better CTR then your competitors have either improved their ads or upped their bids. Check out their ads to get a sense of what they’re up to. Healthtourism is right incidentally. Spending less is a great way to begin a vicious circle.

AdWords shows ads for unrelated keywords, sometimes

Using broad match is pretty inadvisable anyway since it makes it impossible to identify high-converting keywords.
