sales My.Life Domain Name Sells for $175,000

Nice domain, great sale, but there's still mylife.com... it doesn't even resolve. Unless they approached the owners first and they absolutely refused to sell, it was probably a bad decision to go after my.life first. [edit] nvm, apparently it resolves in some countries.

domains “You do know we are in a pandemic right?”

Nowadays I get significantly more offers that e.g. two months ago. The problem is that they are mostly pretty low. Nobody mentions the pandemic explicitly, but it's obvious that some people went out hunting for bargains in these times.

news ICANN declares coronavirus a “natural disaster” to protect expired domains

As far as I understand, on the example of .com, registrar has a renewal fee frozen in verisign's account for the period of domain expiration and it is released/refunded only after deletion. If that is correct, I doubt many registrars will be happy about getting their funds frozen for an even...

news ICANN declares coronavirus a “natural disaster” to protect expired domains

Will it keep registrars from grabbing the domains for themselves or auctioning them off, though?

domains Crypto ETP provider Amun.com rebrand to 21Shares.com

"The name change will allow us to target additional and increasingly more diverse markets by utilising a consistent brand for all regions around the world." ... because the best way to target a foreign market is by using unmemorable name based on an English word/phrase.

    What's your true identity?

Say what you will, but that is a valid reason, and I actually had a few "home visits" (no guns involved, fortunately) before I started hiding my data in whois records.

analysis The Most Used Domain Extensions – From Under the Cisco Umbrella

Since the stats are based on DNS queries - .uk has to be queried first before going deeper, so the number will be slightly higher than .co.uk (because there are also some .uk domains, as well as .ac.uk, .net.uk etc.).

poll How long do you spend browsing expiring lists every day?

So I've been wondering how much time you devote to browsing expiring domains lists (prerelease, pendingDelete, deleted domains etc.) in your daily schedule. For me it's an overwhelming task and my time varies day to day, but I think it's about 3h on average.
