Some people also make minisites for the domains that don't have natural type-in traffic and link them to their main website, but you have to make sure that your minisites are of high quality so that they rank high and pull traffic from the search engines to your main site. IMO

Why did it take you so long to figure this out. :) I think it's a very good idea, as long as you have generic domains. As far as selling domains go, why would you want to sell any domains that are bringing so much more sales for your store, not only you shouldn't be selling any of your generic...

What are the must have features for DNProtect.com?

I agree, if you are dealing with a small pool of high risk clients, then it will break the bank every time you have to pay up on an insurance claim. But to offer DNP risk assessment score to be used for high value and important domains by the general public might be a better idea.
