NamePros is a close knit community and it's disappointing to always read about so much negativity and hostility amongst some of the members here.
As a community we should try to help Rob and try to save him rather than try to tear him apart.
Rob has many good characteristics which some of us...
Even in developing countries and emerging economies there are still a lot of rich people who own businesses and companies, the problem is that all the wealth is concentrated at the top and so there is little to no opportunities for most people to make a decent living.
As I have already...
Stopping the price increases is not enough, the registry prices actually have to go down for .com
The original .com contract and its subsequent amendments have been conceived and implemented under dubious arrangements and are contrarary to the ICANN mission of protecting the public interest as...
Without looking at your portfolio how many of your domains can you write down on a piece of paper.
Would this number signify anything important and could this be considered the best size for a portfolio to have.
Everyone's welcomed to elaborate on this subject, but keep all comments...
If there is no sales lander for the domain then you should assume that it's not for sale because nowadays all domainers have some way to receive offers if their domain is for sale.
You are right about always showing courtesy to others and we all should do that as much as possible, but some...
Just started this thread a few minutes ago:
The .org Heist!
So I guess I am becoming a little cynical, but at the same time I am trying to stay logical. ;)
For small portfolios of less than 250 domains quality is the most important factor, as the portfolio gets larger then it becomes more of a numbers game as it is close to impossible to maintain high quality across a very large portfolio.
IMO
We are constantly looking for new tools to help us with domaining, but most people don’t realize that the most important tool that we have that can help us become better domainers is our own Brain.
Many domainers put in countless number of hours in searching for domains, managing their...
Frank Technically you are right about advertising on the forum, but we can't learn much from a banner ad,
The many threads that @Rob Monster has created on the forum not only has broaden the view of so many here about domain names but it has also been an ongoing lesson in how to expand a...
@Bob Hawkes , you sure put a lot of work in to making these interesting articles about domaining and the domain Industry,
One more prediction by me:
Thanks to Oldtimers like Bob and his gentle, caring, and professional attitude towards others all hostilities, animosities, and negative...
I agree, domaining should be fun above all else, at least that's the way that I look at it as a hobbyist and collector of mostly hand registered domains. :)
IMO
Well when it comes to Forecasting how a certain Industry is going to behave it's more about business than fun, like those who make financial or stock market Forecasts, but there is no rule that says it doesn't have to be fun at the same time, after all we set the rules for the domain Industry...
Entertaining, Funny, and Informative poem that is still true for every year!
I like the way you are warning other domainers to double-check what it is that they are buying in your poem.
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all who share in the spirit of this season.
IMO
My biggest gripe (for a long time now) is that when I do a lot of research and find a nice available .com domain and add it to my wish list and then a week later when I go to register it I see that someone has just taken it.
My guess is that all our Whois searches and any researches done on...
@frank-germany ,
You might not believe in God, but God believes in you.
You have been doing God's work all along by exposing the atrocities of the Holocaust and the Hate and Animosity that has been building up all around the World which might lead to yet another Holocaust soon such as what we...
