A bank wants to buy my domain

Say that it's not officially for sale but.... Remember one thing: just because they might have a lot of money, doesn't mean that they'll offer you a $1 million or even $25,000 so you have to be careful. Hopefully you get an offer that makes it easier for you or you state a price that doesn't...

My question to Godaddy's CEO at NamesCon: Domain Liquidity for the industry

Maybe the service can be done like this: I have domain.com and I need a loan so I join the site and post the ad. John sees my listing there and agrees to lend me $xxxx for it. James offers $yyyy. I choose James' offer. No need to appraisals, the lender does it. Then, I can either pay the loan...

Cut down on crappy domains - Advice

After going through some of the threads where people list their domains, I noticed that people hold so many crappy domains. Maybe they came late to the game and that's all they can get cheaply, but domaining has a cost. You may have 700 names but if 680 are crappy, and you're unlikely to even...

    domain AlwaysHere.com

You are less than clueless in appraising. "Always Here" for You! Customer service. And that sells. It may mean billions more in revenue for certain companies. Not everyone buys names to slap 5 pages at $4.50 each with adsense.

You are wrong, and paying their legal fees can run into tens of thousands. In Fed court they'll say that they learned that our name was trademarked and sought to profit from our trademark by selling it to us. No one cares about panelist opinion there, it starts fresh under US Federal Law...

information Sold HealthAgent.com within 24 hours for 8000$

You were lucky to get the name for just $500. Now on to selling: You probably needed the money, but IMO you could have gotten a lot more than $8k. Not that 16x your investment is bad or anything... Congrats!

    Remote work anyone?

Hi guys, I'm a US college grad now back in my country. Since it says "networking" on the forum name ;) : If any of you need anything done online /remotely, on a somewhat regular basis, please send me e message. domain InsuranceMarket.com

They are a lot of aff links available to monetize. Pay for some articles and milk it via affiliate links? I know Google screwed small sites but maybe... $100,000+ name IMO. Now, no one may offer it but it's well worth it

    discuss .AL Extension

Yp, easier to have all .al in one account /host. When I sell a name I email and then open a ticket to host.al and /or a FB message and ask them to transfer the name to xxxxx account. Super easy and zero transfer fee ...

UDRP BC30.com UDRP lost by NamePros Member

Really? so out of all the possible 3letter combo+keyboard you registered ibmkeyboard.com? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IBM_PC_keyboard If you don't drop it, you really deserve the fine and other sides' lawyer fees. Domainers don't support squatting famous trademarks, that's so early 1990's.

UDRP BC30.com UDRP lost by NamePros Member

Personally, I'm 99.99% certain that BC30 doesn't ring a bell as a possible trademark. It might be trademarked somewhere for a certain class, but so what? Same word can be used for different areas. Bad faith is required for you to lose this, since all conditions must be met. Not a lawyer, and...

UDRP BC30.com UDRP lost by NamePros Member

That's a good one and makes financial sense for both sides, but be aware that this might be seen as bad faith: "Now you are aware of the trademark and are seeking to profit from it" they might say. Big companies are funny, sometimes they want to make a point and bury you. Depends how much...

    discuss .AL Extension

@Sterling what's most surprising is the lack of interest for the likes of alabamacity.al. I have few and zero interest, which is shocking since it's a great combo. Birmingham.al for example, makes sense.

    discuss .AL Extension

The best part of .al is the ease of registration (for a cctld) and management, at least at the company I use, http://www.host.al .al is pretty easy on the ear and eye but the local economy is going very slow as far as going digital.

legal Domain Broker Suing For Commission on FF.com deal

They do own Loans.com and Citi owns mortgage.com so they are somewhat domain savy. FF.com was probably part of bank or company they bought. First Financial or whatever ...
