The Chinese economy is far from being in crisis - were it the US of Japan these numbers would be scary. The true scale of what is going on it China (and ultimately what potential exists in that economy) can only be understood if you've actually been there or done business with them directly...

Quite fresh into this domains game but had a chuckle when I registered 6thSensei /com. I probably won't ever sell it - because I doubt many would find it as entertaining as I do - but might develop a quirky blog around it when I get the time one day.

Virtual Reality Domains (VR)

I'm only a few weeks into the domain investing thing but I have many years in the marketing and tech space and VR is quite a gamble to invest in - since it flopped in the 90s and 3DTV was also a recent disappointment. BUT at like $50 for renewals over the next few years it's not a bad gamble...

opinion 5 reasons why NNLL.com, LLNN.com, NNNL.com, & LNNN.com are solid investments.

While they are undervalued and have a rarity aspect - the Chinese domain market isn't growing fast enough for you to realise a decent return anytime soon on said investment. In fact you run the risk of the N/L trend fading before any decent returns start coming. Interesting views though - thanks

China will block .com's for a competive edge.

@cverzonilla .COM doesn't pose any threat to Chinese interests and your logic about a competitive edge is non sequitur. If you wanna see your .xyz portfolio improve in value do more than speculate about stuff that will very likely never happen and even if it did would cause more harm than good.

new gTLDs will always be boom to bust. I think the only one that ever did moderately well was .MOBI but that was butchered by responsive website scripts. .CLUB had some interesting buys last year but it's gonna have a tough 2016. .CARS and .AUTO will do the same - have a great 2016 but fall flat...

Are dashed domains undervalued by domainers?

Interesting topic - I've actually been struggling to sell a French focused domain because it DOESN'T have a dash, because in Europe they prefer hyphenation to break up names. But in US market these domains are massively devalued (perhaps purposefully so). I think that any inflation in prices...

Since there's so much liquidity in 4L domains you'll have to shop around and find ones that are undervalued. Best bet would be the forums - such as this one - or the drop catcher services/auctions such as Namejet, Godaddy, etc. Also check out Namebio's blog for their domain discovery posts...

If you're selling to an end user, anything MIGHT be worth more than $500, selling to domainers - perhaps none of them. You might get something decent on KUMT and the other short ones depending on where you chose to sell.

I have no idea of the marketing and branding landscape in Canada, so wouldn't be able to recommend a branding agency for you. However your issue sounds more like a branding one than a domain one - you could have the best domain name in the world but if you don't plot the scaling from food...

@VRd Thanks for the advice - I suppose like with every market momentum counts a lot. I look at the 4L and 4N China craze and it has far less intrinsic value than say 3D or VR but the money followed the momentum of the market. I suspect the same will hold true for all new technology domains -...
