offers Offer comes in at $30,000 out of the blue

Great news! Escrow just closed and sale is final. I can't release the name but here's some details: It's a Two word name related to sports and it's less than 10 characters. I acquired it a little over 1 year ago via Go Daddy auction. It's my biggest flip so far percentage wise. The other...

.com Got an email from a company..

Their domain name was mispelled. So I did a lookup on the correct spelling. It was available! Emailed the company with the incorrect spelling. Talked to their IT guy and offered to give them the domain name. The owner was very appreciative and offered me a lifetime subscription to their...

Bidding on your own names at NameJet...?

NICE!! MovieZone.com and Airlinejobs.com just both went to private registration. Good way to try to cover up. A bit late, no?

Frank Schilling's brother-in-law makes $35 grand his first year domaining!

This is totally false. Having more money to start with doesn't always lead to making more money in the Domain field. I am betting that if you give 100 people $10,000 to start buying and selling domain names. 90% will have less money at the end of the year. It's a tough field and even if you...

offers Ever say no to this? Bought on Friday $600, Offered $5000 on Saturday.

So I bought a name that was catchy because it was a nickname I used for my son for $600 on Friday. Two days later, someone offers 1k for it..I say no..they raise it eventually to $5,000. It was hard, but I still said no. Sometime sons are more important! ;)

    opinion I quit domaining

Just quit, domaining isn't for everyone. Better off buying a lotto.. or even betting NFL, NBA futures. If you want consistent income flow, do something that guarantee it. Something like mowing people's lawn or paper delivery.

Just an update for everyone. It turns out they are using the site for a new crypto currency advisory site. So another sale related to crytocurrency. So far 75% of all my sales have one way or another been related to crypto this year. Best year so far! I can buy a new toy now ;)

My wife thinks of my domaining as an hobby

Just keep secret accounts and don't tell her shit. Worked for 20 years of marriage. Less they know.. happier they are. They just care about the bottom line. Which is money to spend. Women always say they want to know, but trust me, they don't want to know. It is too hard for them to...

When buying a domain, do you expect to always get a discount on the asking price?

Why the heck should you lower your price any more than you already have. You already gave him a discount from $100 to $60. I end up with a lot of fools that keep trying to squeeze more. Example. Me: $10,000 buyer: Can you do $5000 Me: $10,000 buyer: Can you do $7500 Me: $10,000 buyer: Can...

offers Offer comes in at $30,000 out of the blue

The domain has little value to me. So the high offer was really odd. Well i accepted the 15k and sent it to escrow. Lets see what happens in a few days. I didnt want to scare the buyer away cuz theres no way i am finding another buyer for it above $500.

    question Your FASTEST domain sale?

Bought a name off a flippa auction for $26 bucks and sold it a few days later for $3000. Guess they were late to the bidding party :)
