My domain in this auction was maj.com. I wonder if the bidders weren't certified for 10k+ or if that was just how much they were willing to pay. I bet the seller of 80.com has a similar question (about the 100k+ certification).
The buyer for srs.me never followed through but spx.me did. I also recently sold ramp.me for $90 and myid.me for $100. Overall I am impressed with the aftermarket interest for .me's.
I think "premium letters" need to be recalibrated for .me. One of the best uses for lll.me are people's initials which could have different letter distribution than ordinary words or business names that affect .com values.
Here is a list of "top" letters for each position that I estimated real...

Does GD run the .me auctions?
Has anyone had problems with .me domains disappearing and re-appearing in the auction from other registrars besides GD? I haven't had any problems with .me domains at moniker.
Domain: ramp.me

here's what I came up with on a quick scan of peoples names in the US
for most popular initials:
last: s,j,w,m,b,a,h
male first,middle: j,r,m,w,d,c
female first,middle: m,p,l,b,e,j,s
So position changes which letters are most premium in the context of initials. Also J is much more...
I posted about two of the .me name server (ns.nic.me and ns2.nic.me) were returning NXDOMAIN for newly registered domains. It seems that mine are working now so it was either a problem they have fixed or it takes several days to push changes to ns*.nic.me from the afilias servers.
Premium letters might be a bit different if the main focus is people's initials.
A quick search turned up these letters as being popular for US names:
last: s,j,w,m,b,a,h
male first,middle: j,r,m,w,d,c
female first,middle: m,p,l,b,e,j,s
If .me catches on at all the LLL.me are going to be sought after for people's initials. Last names could also be valuable.
Interestingly, premium letters for initials could be different than the premium letters for companies or regular words.
Here are some more I picked up:
myid.me...
There is a serious problem right now with two of the nameservers for .me.
all of the afilias nameservers are responding correctly to new domains but ns.nic.me and ns2.nic.me are returning NXDOMAIN for all new subdomains:
