Estibot Sniffing?

Made me think about the real meaning of "bot" in Estibot haha. I think it's just a coincidence especially if the names you checked were decent enough to catch a domainer's attention.

Do you mean other domain registrars? If that's the case then yes you need to wait 60 days to transfer or accept it. Good job by the way. :)

Yep it's a scam and I suggest that you search 'scam' in this forum to get information about the latest scams in the industry. You don't need any certification whatsoever to prove that you're the owner of the domain. Using Escrow is more than enough to show good faith. Good luck, buddy! :)

Well I mean popular among US local businesses. If it's not the case then I'm sorry 'cause I based that on the assumption that it is more appropriate to use your country's extension if you plan on targeting the local population.

I'm really not sure because I live in another country but I think .us extension is still popular. If you live in the US and own a local business then it makes sense to use that TLD. To answer your second question, no. I would rather use the .biz extension for my business. ;)
