    advice Am I missing something??

The problem isn’t you my friend. You fell into the hype of domain flipping where 90% of the time a flipper loses up to 10 times the cost of a domain name trying to promote it. Less than 1% of all the millions of domain names listed for sale on a daily basis sell, way less than 1 percent. Don’t...

discuss Is MakeMoney.com Worth $10 Million?

Sorry to burst anyone's bubble but, there is not one domain name on earth worth paying 10 million for. I could go on eBay and buy a great domain name for under 30 bucks or invent one and build the value in the name myself, as it is really done. You build the value, not the name. Domain name’s...

news Sell or Not to Sell - Legal/Moral Dilemma?

It is a amazing how many people claim to find fault with selling a domain name for a profit. It sounds like a bunch of BS to me considering how hard it is to sell a domain name for real money, not just chump change.

You're website looks good. I wish you all the best. Keep a few listed on eBay to help direct traffic to your website. It is a cheap way to advertise.

I would have took the money and ran. That domain name has no value until value is created for it. All the best.

offers Offer comes in at $30,000 out of the blue

It may be a good idea to research the offering party. Something is not right here. VC's 99% of the time do not offer that kind of money when they make a first offer to buy a domain name.

offers Offer comes in at $30,000 out of the blue

VC's are cheap when it comes to buying things like domain names. I find it hard to believe any of them would offer 15 to 30k right off the bat. It doesn't work that way.

discuss Is MakeMoney.com Worth $10 Million?

If I may suggest, A very few may get lucky. That few equals to Less than .0001 of all selling domain names in the world for the year, minus the temporary serge in the extension market. In general domain name’s sale prices will continue to drop as the domain market is flooded with new dot this...

Sell them cheap. You will stand a better chance of profiting from you're investment.

sales iPets.com sells for $12,777 only $62,223 less than a decade ago

It is a good name. I would say it is worth 9 to 10k tops. 12k, you did well. All the best.

Old domain name's are like an old pair of shoe’s. After a while they lose their luster value and appeal.

In the 10k range - If you want to make money, 5k or above would be reasonable as long as you are making a profit. It all adds up.

I would like to know what makes your domain name worth 30k? If someone else was selling it, they be lucky to get 100 bucks for it. How are you able to get over 100 bucks for this domain name?

Premium pricing on a domain you own?

I have found that the domain auction industry is one of the most corrupt industry’s going. Dirty trick’s, loaded with shill bidders seems to be the norm. Sedo.com was caught red handed. See the two video's I posted on YouTube under jcaprio.

The websites that put a value on your domain name. They do not factor in the phycology of the consumer. They look at technicals. Don’t trust the prices these online evaluators spit out.
