sales Just made first 2 sales

Made my first 2 sales on auctions, a week and a half after buying my first domain. They were the dot coms easyvirusprotection and usedautoinfo. Got just the very modest minimum bid but it's a start. Not sure if I should relist the others on 7-day again with the lowest allowed starting bid like...

    Hey all!

I'm new to this as well and also bought a bunch of domains without proper research, although all are dot coms and most are 2-3 word phrases that make sense. I hope your 20 domains sell and I wish us both success at domaining.

question Should I worry about auction?

Thanks. I'll reply to you all here instead of individually. Yes, I would like to make a living from this but I'm starting out with the smaller goal of making enough cash to pay off some things and buy a few more domains here and there while keeping my job. Start slow and build up. I marketed...

    domain australiasailing.com

Thanks for the feedback. I'm new to domaining and of course I went ahead and got it before your reply came LOL. Live and learn. Maybe I can get about $99 for it...

    Would jiffybrew be better?

question What's the longest domain that you own or have seen?

All mine are .coms. Longest one I've had is smokelesscigarettestore. Didn't sell and I let it expire. Longest one I currently have is TahitiWeddingPhotography.

    domain nyclawyers - .com

Thanks for the feedback. I've been domaining for a month and maybe I'm starting to get better at picking domains LOL

    question Look at other extensions?

Thanks for the replies. I didn't mean whether I should buy other extensions, I meant is checking on the sales of other extensions a factor in deciding to buy the .com. I've checked on some names I've bought, and some names I'm considering, and none of the .net or .us or .org's were taken, but...

    question Should I be disappointed?

Thanks for the valuable feedback, everyone. I am amazed so far at the number of good names I come across on expired lists. I guess there's more so-called diamonds in the rough than I anticipated.

    advice Quick-flip it?

I'm such a goofball! I just double-checked and it's not visions of Atlantis dot com, it's dreamsofatlantis.com. Good thing, too, because I just saw that Visions of Atlantis is an active band.

    advice ozlimos.com

Could be Aussie. Or maybe the Wizard of Oz needs a limo. Seriously, though, you think around $50 would be a reasonable starting bid?

    GoDaddy Auctions upgrades

May have been asked before but I haven't been on here in quite a while, but has anyone had success selling domains on GoDaddy auctions with their auction upgrades? The biggest one is the almost $20 one to put it on the rotating auction homepage. If it's a good name, will it sell itself or does...

sales Just made first 2 sales

A veteran domainer's opinion is worth more than mine, but I believe you're on the right track by choosing names with famous place + product or service.

    advice ozlimos.com

Haven't sold it. About to put it on a BIN auction for $50. I contacted the owner of a similar website in Australia but he said he doesn't need it because he's about to retire. Also, as someone above pointed out, Australians tend to value the .com.au extension. It may be different in your case...

    question tinypetz.com

I recently got tinypetz.com. Is this brandable or would it be better to auction it on GoDaddy under the pets subcategory?
