I saw that as well. So, 100 domains (one can imagine given a large bulk sale, that will be one of the lowest cost per domain prices), and no patterns at all, and 28.5 dollars a domain. That is just over 2x registration fee. Given the numeric market, I see no way that that person is going to lose...

There is an auction at Flippa for 24 6n.com domains (all with "0" at the beginning, and all with a "4") (that ends in two days). While it is only one data point (sale), it will be interesting to see where where the auction will end on these 24 names.
