"top" has a very unprofessional, sexual connotation to me. I'm sure I can't be the only one. Would you ever be able to think of someone saying "go to google dot top?" It just sounds bad.

Probably because they cache their WHOIS DB just like Namecheap does. Namecheap will manually update a record if it's out-of-date. If it's on a gTLD I use ICANN's official WHOIS--it's a live WHOIS search.

new gtlds Facebook doesn't support .XYZ domain names

The minimum for a gTLD is 3 letters. Facebook would have to somehow qualify for a ccTLD to get .fb. If they got .facebook or something, I highly doubt they'd open it up to people either.

What is your fav new gTLD?

.xyz is still my favorite. It's short and easy-to-communicate. Also like .wtf just because it's quirky. I have my initials in a LL .wtf at the old, non-premium renewal rate too. :) I kinda like .online. I feel like it's too long and not too aesthetically pleasing, though.
