With the current climate of copyright issues and all, perhaps the IP should be "Intellectual Property"; that opens up 'legal' avenues of interest, and NYC is a hotbed for both 'IP' creation and legal wrangling. Sorry, I'm a rank amatooor with no clue to value.

Another update on the state of Dotster. The third customer account there (with 5 domains) has not yet been transitioned to the new flashy Vdeck control panels. They signed in to update the street address of tech and admin contacts for one domain, and kept getting errors. So we called...

Another update. Our 'escalated' ticket never got any direct response (to us, via phone or email). Notation on the ticket said that when they looked at the DNS settings they were ok (of course, since we had to go through and fix them for the second time). No response to why, no answer to...

Do you believe there are domain collectors out there?

Three dog domains; two are memorials for departed pets; better I think than a tombstone or a plaque on an urn. The third is a placeholder for one still living. No kids though or I'd probably have setasides for them too.

Question about incorrect Whois and where does the domain go?

So if such a domain had been registered for an extended period (5+ years) it would just sit at the registrar 'on hold'/suspended until expiration (or possibly contact from the actual owner)?
