So, I am new to the drop catching world and have been looking at a domain that expired April 11, 2015 that was registered to Gandi. Researching here, I felt Pheenix was my best option based on what I was willing to pay. The drop date was today, June 17, 2015. It was 3:15 pm in the afternoon...- Points: 1

Namecheap: Didn't send expiration email until 6 days after Domain expired.
Update: Namecheap waived all of the fees and I renewed that domain for the 1-year renewal fee of $13.16! Didn't want to push my luck and ask if I could use a coupon ;)- Points: 0

Per ICANN, once a domain expires, an email must be sent within 5 days. Namecheap sent me an email 6 days later to "Moorthy" was the first name on the email and it didn't even have my real name, which is 3 letters long. Also, didn't even mention what domain expired. They sent the email to...- Points: 0
