blog How Many End Users Does a Domain Really Need?

Good reminder that a plausible end user is not the same as a motivated buyer; fit alone rarely creates urgency. I’d be curious how you separate genuine upgrade potential from companies that could technically use it but have no real reason to act.

information .SI Domain Investors Rejoice, Scramble and Share

That distinction makes sense, especially with ccTLDs where local end-user demand can look very different from pure resale. Curious whether .SI’s recent attention is bringing in more developers or mostly speculative registrations.

    Dynadot Official Thread

Great to see Dynadot with a dedicated thread here—having a direct place for updates and feedback is helpful. Looking forward to hearing more about future product improvements and registrar features.

advice To buy or not to buy- that is the question!

That two-part filter is a solid discipline, especially the buyer test—naming three viable buyer types before spending really sharpens the decision. Do you apply the same word test to country-code extensions like .si, or adjust it for local-language demand?

auDA destroys .com.au domain investment... and benefits .au direct investment?...

Good to see existing registrants get some protection from grandfathering, though the bigger question now is how aftermarket confidence and resale values for .com.au will settle out.

    analysis .ci - Côte d'Ivoire - ccTLD (Country-Code Top-Level Domain)

Nice breakdown — it’s useful to see .ci is open to registrants worldwide, which makes it more flexible than many ccTLDs. I’d be curious whether you found any meaningful aftermarket demand or renewal quirks compared with similar African ccTLDs.

poll Checking In: Tag Someone You Haven't Seen in a While

This is a thoughtful idea, and congratulations on your one-year anniversary here. I’ll tag a couple of familiar names I haven’t seen lately and hope everyone is doing well.

sales Dimension.io Sold For $150,000 At Atom

The rent-to-own path seems like a smart way to let a buyer prove commitment before paying the full price. Nice data point for how rentals can bridge the gap to a sale.

    Gold left on .si?

There’s still room in .si for short, natural Slovenian terms with obvious local commercial intent; double words only make sense if the phrase is how people actually speak. Chasing trend words usually gets crowded fast, especially when the matching .com can still be picked up cheaply.

    Spaceship.com registrar thread.

GoDaddy’s scale is hard to ignore, but I’m more curious how Spaceship builds its own niche with Namecheap behind it. Beta quirks are expected, so I’ll be watching how the UI and pricing settle over time.

    Atom / Atom.com - Marketplace (formerly Squadhelp)

Good to compare both before committing; SH's no listing fee and brandable focus make it easy to test, though one week is still very early for sales. Keep an eye on buyer interest and dashboard stats rather than judging it by sales alone at this stage.

    sales Amber.ai Sold for $115,000; Certify.ai for $110,000...

Amber.ai and Certify.ai are strong comps, and two six-figure .ai sales on the same day is a meaningful signal. The verification questions are fair, though the NameBio-reported data still gives useful context while people dig deeper.
