I wish Godaddy could stop doing these terrible changes to every company they buy... Uniregistry, Dan, Afternic, all became worse after acquisition :( Afternic worked alright, despite the high fee.
I lost close to 6-figures in deals on which Godaddy brokers, at the old Uniregistry platform, messed up badly.
On one he sent an invoice with the wrong value (ignoring my messages) just to retract after seeing the mistake (buyer was furious and never replied again), many leads were ignored / no...
They don't want some money, they want ALL the money they can grab. I'm very glad I left them many years ago, thousands of domains, and they were far better than nowadays! 19 days grace period? What a joke!
@Keith Who are you to tell me what to do? I do sell via my own outlet, I only sold a single domain at DAN via a lead I uploaded and brought there. I never needed them, and was a mistake I ever set any BINs there in the past and forgot to remove because they never had any relevance for my...
I have many names with Epik, my plan is to continue that way, they are a prime target for such attacks but can happen somewhere else too. After 20+ years as a web developer I've seen a lot.
I'm monitoring my credit card (has a small limit anyway) and increased the security on my end.
Not much...
I've been on the domain market for over 20 years now, many, but many of the biggest domain companies disappointed me... I even lost good $xx,xxx++ due to the failures of some of these.
If it's really a regulated escrow or not is something that on my day by day business hasn't affected me at...
Hello!
The other namecheap coupon codes expired (bestvalue, evenlower and save7933), so I had to search for new ones. It wasn't easy, but here they are. Tested and working:
Yaffaspecial - $0.90 off registration and renewal
MORE4LESS - $0.89 off .com registration
Hope you like it.
I often did so and more, some appreciate it while others don't. Many buyers have no honor though, playing around for months, going back on their word, etc.
I never used fast-transfer and I want nothing to do with it... automatically removing my assets without my confirmation is a security hazard.
As for the hassle of dealing with people that list them before we can, it's indeed a problem...
In 2007 my domain video.io sold at T.R.A.F.F.I.C. for just the minimum reserve price that Moniker asked me to set ($400)... a mistake I never forget, and will not repeat.
I wonder what one of the best keywords, in such a popular TLD, would be worth nowadays... but 13 years ago a person here...
I have below 10,000 domains nowadays, 2007/2008+ crisis wasn't kind and lasted a lot of time. The boom that existed before meant nothing if companies no longer had the means to invest. I was forced to auction for peanuts domains what would be worth easy 50k-100k each later (I just give an ex...
I'm putting a lot of faith on Spaceship, already transferred half my names there and more to come.
If you keep fair prices I will gladly send sales commissions "your" way as well.
Just an update, Escrow.com no longer sends payments to Revolut Bank either, which has a valid European license as any other. I use it because it's a big issue to receive USD payments on my local bank Euros account.
"For compliance and security reasons, Escrow.com is unable to disburse funds to...
That would be easy if transfers were free, however now that liquidity is an issue for many, it's not trivial to get dozens of thousands out of nowhere... especially for those that have a lot of money stuck at Epik.
Even if you could get a loan the interest rates will be absurd.
Last year when prices escalated I sold a few premium 5N because the prices were right, but no chips at all.
I currently have 140 LLLL.com domains, several are chips. I receive hundreds of offers and haven't sold any because I don't accept receiving what the average market dictates.
I make my own...
