Matthew 7:1
Isis, you've got a lot to learn. I could care less about your views on my relationship with the Father and his Word because you know next to nothing about them. You don't know what I've been through nor what I've done. Only the little that I've shared in this thread. But this...
compuXP, glad to see I'm not the only one who feels that way.
I know what you mean about the whole "Xmas" thing and that is not a term I will use. I recognize that the greek letter for Chi is indeed "X" and it is often used to mean that - but at the same time the X is often used to take the...

It's saturated, but there will always be opportunities for growth in digital marketing. I think you may see a bit of a pendulum swing back in coming up with ways to be more authentic. Obviously, COVID-19 will probably further change how we operate, even in ways that still remain to be seen.
It...
Congrats!
I have one lonely name listed there, but I feel pretty good at being 1/7. These brand websites are funny in what they accept versus what they don't. I realized brandables aren't necessarily my thing, as domains that I think would have some application or demand were rejected quickly...
If it was just about SEO, then people wouldn't bother with branding, marketing, sales, etc...or even a product.
A good domain is still a good domain. A great one a great domain. There are more aspects of a business than just having good SEO.
You can play off of .co with a business, it even sounds a little trendy. .org doesn't have that edge, and it's often associated with nonprofits.
Easy choice.
This really needs to go to a lawyer at this point if you desire to proceed.
So I looked up a few state laws and most states do not allow the term "bank" or do make some distinction, one way or another. There are several exceptions and there is no law at the national level. All news to my ears...
I'm confused on this as well.
I watched several names in auction only to see them disappear with a few hours to go. I've had several domains that were renewed after I won the auction as well. Not quite sure how it works.
I use a .me or a .us for my personal addresses. Most of the time, I'm correcting an automatic .com at the end. The .us seems to fair better based on my anecdotal experience, but .me seems to really confuse them. However, I have seen some branding with .me and I've seen it work, so I think...
PersFi.com
PersonalFinanceBlog.net
I really think both have great potention, but I really like the brand idea with PersFi.com! It's one of my favorite domains.
@DnDigger I almost grabbed that one, excellent reg in my opinion! I don't like plural either, but the history on the plural is good and it's a technically correct term.
Seems like a lot goes into each individual decision, but you have to think about being upstaged by competitors swooping in to get the more recognizable domain. There are still issues of awareness and trust for gTLDs. I've watched people freak out about .us domains and wonder if it's safe to...
Thank you both!!
I am putting the advice to work. My wife thought that the extra images would help with sharing in Pinterest, Twitter, and Facebook. I am wondering if Google wasn't looking at them suspiciously. I've just always slapped up forums (and heaven knows how sea-unfriendly those things...
I like to think I know enough about SEO to at least get the ball rolling.
My wife (and to a lesser extent, myself) is starting a website she wanted to do based on her career and skillset insight into running a business. The site itself is geared towards small businesses, side hustles, and...
I realize that the push has been on for SSL. When it comes to things like blogging, small business sites, and forums, do you guys go with an SSL certificate? I see mixed reviews on it helping SEO, but I know Google (per their dev page...
