Just got the same exact email today. Was suspicious when I saw a couple misspelled words in the email, and the Google Answers page looked like an obvious advertisement for Authorize Merchant. And yep their "appraisal" price went up to $199. Wish there was some way to catch and imprison these...

Thoughts on .io?

I agree with the others, .io will only go up over time. It's new, it's short, it's cool/trendy. .com's are overrated, overpriced and saturated. As they they gradually lose they're power I think .io will be one of their biggest competitors.
