    Grab it or not

If someone is in the UK and solely does business with people in the UK, it may be beneficial to his business. For example if I was looking for a contractor to fix my house, I would use the google local search for my country which would rank people in my own country first. However it's also...

    Any PHP developers named Jim??

Very nice gesture! It's nice to see domain names being used by people for an actual purpose instead of just squatting.

    Thoughts On New Site?

Not a horrible idea... but you need to get some backlinks of your own first to make it useful. Your google PR is currently 0.

    Wordpress issues

Is the template already in wordpress format? Or is it just HTML? If it's already a wordpress template you can just duplicate your directory structure and database and give everything to him... then he erases the content and starts from scratch using your template. If the template is NOT in...

    SomeCompanySucks.com

Yep... there is nothing illegal about this and they are quite common. Just be very careful not to use any of their copyrighted content as that companies lawers will jump all over you (ie logos.. even if modified).

What name to choose if desired name is busy

As others have said, it depends if the words "my" or "online" fit into the nature of your website. But I think regardless, assuming the keywords are relatively short, I would personally take the domain-name.com.

.info 2 Dashes .com vs no dash .info

Are you talking about just buying the domain and holding on to it? Or using it for a legitimate purpose? If the latter, I would take the shorter dot-org... assuming for a hobby site or non-profit business. If not, I would take the .com.

How to Handle more than one submit button in single form?

You cannot have two submit buttons. One should just be input type="button" and the onclick function can be set to do whatever you'd like.

Which one of these three domain names would you pick?

For a for-profit business I wouldn't go for a .org. And I'm not sold on new TLD's like .info. Which leaves the .net if it's available.

    Will a .org domain work?

If it's a hobby than a .org is perfectly fine. The content of your site will be what draws people as opposed to the domain name itself.

.com or .org for a serious web business?

I would definitely go for the .com. It doesn't sound like the domain name itself would be tremendously related to the success of your business anyway... based on its' nature.

    Register/Registrar Protocol access

I think the answer to this question is simply no. Registrars pay big bucks to become accredited and giving access to their back end systems would be a tremendous security risk.

.ca Dot CA Discussion, Sales, and Showcase

I realize you weren't necessarily encouraging such behaviour. I just wanted to point out to others who read this thread... like you did... that CIRA does in fact check to make sure you meet their requirements. So just registering the domain itself doesn't mean you're home free.

.ca Dot CA Discussion, Sales, and Showcase

There certainly are "ways", but I would be very careful doing so. If another user complains to CIRA, they can and in many cases will investigate. We have clients who have legitimate dot-ca domains for their companies for many years and CIRA has randomly asked them to provide documentation...
