news More gloom predicted for .com

Right, the domain industry has reached a boiling point where everything remotely decent in .com has been taken. And, those who own them are asking for a lot. What are business owners that dont have much capital to do when they aren't prepared to risk 50k for a mediocre name? Honest question...

Atom.com domain pricing discrepancy on mobile

Has anyone experienced an issue when repricing domains on Atom.com, specifically on the mobile interface? I have observed that the secondary purchase button, which appears after the user scrolls and the primary button at the top is no longer visible, does not reflect the updated pricing...

Use whole folio url vs single domain lander

I'd only do it with ultra premium names otherwise I don't want a potential buyer to see the abundance of shit names in my portfolio.

    alert GoDaddy Invents Automated Cybersquatting

This is so unbelievably stupid... GoDaddy please fix this or I'll be forced to find a new registrar for the 1000+ domains I have with you. You mentioned this happens with GoDaddy landers, does that include Dan and Afternic landers as well?

FEB 2, 2025 EDIT: Thank you to all members who have given me your business. Gname Is Possibly The Worst Domain Service I've Ever Used

That's certainly a terrible situation. I've only used Gname once and I agree wholeheartedly with your sentiment on how shady the site feels. The UI absolutely does their company NO justice.

    discuss Delete.com on GoDaddy auction

Might as well get this thread rolling now as the end result of this auction will be big news in the domain industry. Delete.com is already at $70,666 (184 bids total) with 10 days left. What do you think the end price will be?

question One word domains — are they created equal regardless of TLD?

the answer is simple - ask yourself if you would rather own fuck.com or fuck.ninja. Theres a ton of English one-word domains still available for registration in uncommon TLDs simply because there is no demand for them. I've registered some before and lost money as a result

This portfolio is HUGE, why hasn't the industry noticed?

Looks like a white label. Click on any domain then scroll to the bottom, there you will see it says "Powered by Atom". I don't believe this is a single portfolio.

    Hello All,

Welcome! You're on the right track in saying it's best to stick to .com. I wouldn't make an attempt at trying to build a full scale business through the buying and selling of domain names this late into the game.

question Any tips for buying 4L.com domains?

So I buy a bad 4L .com today for $100, pay renewal for 10 years ($150-$200) and can hope to liquidate for a $50 profit at most..... It's like they're not even an investment in the most basic sense.

question Any tips for buying 4L.com domains?

What end user? You're not taking into account the fact that certain letters (aka the "bad letters" you're talking about) do not appear that much in the English language, especially as the first letter of a word. Therefore, there is less of a chance someone will come around and think of a good...
