Having names on as many platforms as possible seems to work well for me including my own website. Keep in mind that marketplaces like Sedo, Afternic, Flippa, Namepros, etc, have been around for some time and have tons of traffic. Use that to your advantage while you build up your own website...

I develop a lot of the names I hand reg also, so it's a lot easier to sell then just the name by itself.

Namepros is without a doubt the best place to list for free. I'm not aware of any other marketplace online that allows you to sell your domain without charge. You can definitely market your listing for free on Domain Facebook Groups, Twitter, and other domain forums for more exposure but nothing...

I prefer to hand reg since brandable domain names are more down my alley. But I also buy names at Godaddy auctions when I have more of a budget.

To make a connection would you take less on a domain name?

Getting creative with your deals is what will get you to sell more domains, so offering 60/40, 50/50, or any other percentage to make a deal happen is always a good idea.

My web hunt

Stay away from names that have a bad reputation. A site that has been black listed by Google will not show up in the google results. Also, think of any company name that has been run through the mud....most likely you will always remember it for being that company that did something wrong or...
