I used to do typos. Still have a few. Won't recommend it anymore. Like the single word premiums, most domainers made their money from typos back then.
Concentrate on acquiring premium names, even if you have to pay premium for it. The market has too many names available and not enough business being launched. There a lot of things I don't know. I can only share what little I know to be "right," from my personal experiences...
