    Hey there! I'm new.

Hey everyone! One of my first posts here, just wanted to give a shout out and say hello to all the other domainers here. Been a read-only visitor for quite some time now, but wanted to officially sign up to become an active member of the community. A little about me: - I'm a software engineer...

    Hey there! I'm new.

Hey thanks, everyone! :) I really only go after .io, .sh, and .ac, but am really only interested in .io. I catch them for my own personal projects - I've built so many different apps over the years I can't even begin to count :). Lately I've been doing some catching for investment purposes...

    discuss Beating Dropcatch.com ? Possible ?

I’d like to chime in here to clear some things up for everyone. Dropcatch is a domain registrar, and has many registrars in their arsenal. This CAN help them out, but isn't necessarily needed for what they’re doing. Domain registries offer communications with registrars over the EPP protocol...

    discuss Beating Dropcatch.com ? Possible ?

I never definitively admitted domain names drop at random times. I know .com isn’t random. I also know that the protocol to create domain records doesn’t care how many requests were made. If the request comes in at a time after the domain drops, that request is respected. Speaking from personal...

Selling Backordr.com ccTLD drop catching service live

We won't do public auctions. Actually...we won't even have auctions in the beginning, maybe even ever. The service will start as a first come, first serve drop-catch service. You place the order, you get the domain if we catch it. No auctions. No bs. ...maybe that should be our slogan? :xf.smile:

opinion DropCatch king of the game ..

If you check the list of accredited registrars at Verisign, Dropcatch.com has way less than they used to. The registry cracked down and deleted a bunch of registrars to put in new regulations for dropcatching. Dropcatch is still really good at what they do, but the playing field is being leveled.

    Does anyone dropcatch .biz domain?

We’re in the process of adding support for .me, .vc, and other ccTLDs right now for Backordr.com. We will be adding support down the road for .biz domains and other similar extensions. Currently Dynadot does a great job backordering .biz.

Selling Backordr.com ccTLD drop catching service live

We launched with private, silent auctions. After doing an alpha run with a small batch of users, this was the most user-friendly way to keep things fair while also allowing everyone a fair chance at getting a domain. The silent auction model also, most of the time, keeps prices lower than...

Wanted Backordr.com ccTLD drop catching service is now live!

Hi all! It’s been a while since I’ve posted here, but the ccTLD drop catching service I’ve been using personally is now live. Backordr.com is currently in beta, but we have been very successful in catching a large percentage of the domain names we target. Please go check it out, if you...

Selling Backordr.com ccTLD drop catching service live

Hey everyone! We were having some MX server issues the last few days (week?) or so...that went unnoticed. We've been working hard on the platform and tech, so sorta overlooked the email aspect of things. Whoops! :) If you've been trying to inquire about one of the domains up for sale on our...

Selling Backordr.com ccTLD drop catching service live

Thanks for the questions! Right now we are focusing on .io, .sh, and .ac domain names. .io is a fairly high demand market right now, so that is the main focus. The single domain up is a personal domain from one of us that purchased it at a public auction over a year ago, it's just another place...

We are a registrar. If you do a whois on any domain we've caught, you'll see the registrar as Backordr LLC. It's a bit of a hassle and a massive cost overhead, but it allows us more flexibility and removes the need to rely on third parties which you can never trust 100%.

ccTLD succeed.io is dropping soon on Backordr.com

$99 only if we catch the domain for you. Otherwise no charge. Silent auctions are also used if you think more than one person will place a backorder. Just enter the amount you’re willing to pay and if your bid is the highest you win the domain. This keeps it fair and keeps prices lower.

discuss Best places to find expired domain names

Depends on the domains. If you’re looking for ccTLDs we have tons at Backordr.com :). Otherwise, dropcatch.com offers csv downloads of daily drops.

question Pending Delete way before Expiry Date of the domain

This is the correct answer. These records can flip when owners cancel the domain, or even when they renew them during pendingDelete in redemption if their registrar offers it.
  20. backordr

    question Domain redemption

You can use a Whois service that offers historical records to check. Once a domain is in pendingDelete or redemption, those records are cleared from the live Whois database. We scrape a bunch of these for backordr.com to help determine a drop time. Same kinda thing 🤷‍♂️
