the (.gg) domain extension has widespread adoption within the gaming community. ".GG" which stands for "Good Game" is frequently used to for eSports teams and gaming startups in particular.

Here are a few sales on Park.io last month (October 2019).
Hero.gg - $2,134
Mobile.gg - $401
Reflex.gg $104
Doom.gg $130
Cloud.gg $1,020
Dating.gg $385

I expect as the gaming industry continues to mature and more startups emerge, we'll see some decent end-user sales in the .gg domain extension.

Earlier this year Bet.gg sold for $8,503, and Super.gg was sold for $7,500 at the end of last year.

I expect there have been more private sales to end-users but that's just speculation.

Missed seeing this earlier. Win must be one of the better words for the .gg extension, and the $5k was a nice price although I could have seen it going for even more. In the NameBio database it is the second highest exact sale (.tech went for $10k) although .me at $4350 and .global at $3k are not far behind.

.gg has flown under the radar for a while, but there have been a lot of well-funded startups using .gg.

I like this extension. The stats listed above really show growth in this extension.
I have had pretty good luck in domaining with a couple extensions that have rebranded with a completely different purpose than what the tld was created for. I see this might have a bit of potential. Not betting the house, but gonna play with a few here.

I also looked at the Top 100 sales of gg at NameBio and I see they are from $104 to 44k.
Top 25 are over 1k.
Next 12 are from $500 - 1k.
Next 14 are above $300.

17 sales in 2019 and 6 of them are 4 digits.

I also looked up how many dot gg sites were in the top 1 million based on traffic. There are 187 total which I was surprised to see. The top 100 are actually all rated w/a global rank of 741 to 295k.

Also with all of the trends we see come and go in domaining I can assure you this. The trend of gaming is definitely not going away. There is talk of the 2024 Olympics "possibly" including eSports. Whether or not it happens is not the question here. Just the fact that there is discussion of potentially adding eSports to the Olympics is incredible to me.

I should have been on those boat before now, both of my Brothers have been long time WOW and Diaoblo players (online gamers ). They’d know every bit of tech term there is.

I just started reading and watching the clips of Morgan at Blizzcon...there’s a mighty storm a brewing in the gaming industry! Going to follow it more closely for now on.

As far as I know they are all priced the same, 99.99 Unless you have the GDDC /discount club then renewals will com in at 54.99( which I have )

I just carefully read the first post I have been saying for quite awhile .gg was used for global gaming, but it should be good game I guess? Or can it be interpreted as either?

I am a complete non-gamer personally, and only learned about esports and how big a thing it was through a financial writer that I follow had this column (excellent information, at least from that point in time in 2018) on how big esports is getting. As a result I picked up a few esports names one of which sold, but I have not yet ventured into the .gg TLD. I wish renewals were cheaper.
