Just got an cease and desist from realtors association for bitcoin domains that contains realtor in it. Rookie move on my part. Too late for grace delete. What are my options here?

Do believe some time back, you pooh-poohed the idea that any realtor or realtor org. would come after you for regging domains.

Drop the name or push it to them, that is a fantastic win for you. You are not dealing with johnnyspizzashop.com. (maybe that's not the best example, lol that name redirects to Trivago....)

We got about 1,788 threads talking about TM and some still don't get it.

They should clean that up...since most of the threads I've read are merely the blind leading the blind, and that can do more harm than good. So far about 10% of the respondents in those threads actually know anything about IP law.

I'm thinking that wouldn't be a good idea....since it sort of throws a backhanded slap to the bean. They don't want you to use their TM (for whatever reasons: most notably to associate or profit in any way) and you'll offer to sell the domain to a Lic. Realtor. haha. See what I'm saying here?

Perhaps something thats worth looking into if you want to kill it with realtor domains... I mean how many Realtors are domainers and how many domainers are realtors? not many at all I would imagine... so could be a really interesting angle...

I don't know what to think. But attempting to rationalize this as Real Tor BTC with this thread in existence that proves you registered them in bad faith isn't going to work.

I don't even know why these domains aren't deleted yet... advice in one ear and right out the other.

The mindset set at the time if reg was.

"Ok........bitcoin and real estate domains most are taken. Busted out the thesaurus looked for other words related to real estate like property house realty home all were taken .

Then in thesaurus it of course listed realtor .

In hindsight I should have thought about realtor as a TM since as you've said I did talk about it back in February plus it's my usual MO to check USPTO.gov

But also it was $1.99 special sale event. People often lose their minds handregging impulsively and callously.

it's Nov/ Dec when I reg also February was 10 months ago.
