1. For some of our readers who aren't aware of your company's background, could you give us a brief overview?
We are a web-development company, specializing at B2B areas of the real estate and retail. One of our very old and successful project is the Malls.Ru, this website is popular at Eastern Europe.
Several years we tried to find way to extend our experience with Malls.Ru to European, Asia and US markets. Malls.Com domain was the best solution for that.
2. Could you tell us how you went about acquiring Malls.com?
We tried to buy Malls.Com several times, but the price for this domain was too high and we couldn't agree with the domain owner. Last time we started conversion via SEDO broker, Negar Hajikhani, and she helped us to agree the price and conclude the deal. This deal is the great achievement of Sedo and Negar Hajikhani personally, they really helped us.
3. Could you tell us some of your reasoning behind the $320,000 Malls.com valuation?
As you know, all new web site requires a significant time and investment in advertising to create an audience and start earning. The correct domain for the project helps to reduce this time and get to market faster. We were very conservative with estimates of project profitability, according to which investment should pay for itself in 2-3 years.
4. Would you have considered paying more than $320,000 for Malls.com?
Yes, we were ready to attract more financing, but it would have taken extra time.
5. How has owning malls.com affected your business? Do you think that you could have achieved the same level of success without owning malls.com?
We were able to run the project and to enter the international commercial real estate market, the project was very well received by the market and major international events. Our name opens a lot of doors for easy progress of the project.
6. Do you think that you could have achieved the same level of success without owning malls.com?
We are sure, that Malls.Com is the best domain for the market leader in this niche.
