Anyone else registering 3D domains?

It seems that 3D is going to be the the next must have technology, according to the big brands, they are all launching 3D TVs.

I attempted to find good 3D names but the best domains are already taken, I think in 5 years time or even less, those generic 3D domains will be worth a lot. :imho:

Anyone else registering 3d domains? Do you think they have a future?

It wont have the effect it will while watching on a big 50" TV in your home. Do you really think someone is going to sit down and put glasses on to check their mobile phone, it wont happen, maybe a few people who are fascinated by the 3D concept, but thats about it, the 3D Mobile phone craze will not happen, even if the 3D doesnt require glasses, it will look pretty silly on a small little phone screen

Your right and I hate current phones BUT there will be many new versions of phones coming to emulate the Itab and I see these as being the new phones. Mini wirelss computer type of mobile phones with 3D webcam. Im not sure you read the article it said NO Glasses needed. I can see this used as a 3D webphone (already taken) just like in Dick Tracy the phone rings you hit send and the screen opens up and there is the person live in 3D no glasses right there, TO Powerful Not to happen IMO.

Kids love new phones, I can guarentee that when the latest 3d mobile is made that it will be no1 on the christmas list. of all the newest features available on cell phones why buy an inferior option cell, when you can have one similarly priced w/more options. MP3 players were an awesome addition. I want that option on my cell phone, but still, I went out and bought an Ipod. Same as GPS option, I wanted it on there just in case, but still went out ang grabbed a GPS.

I believe that when Cell Companies do come w/that 3D technology all across the board, everyone will definitely want that one additional option. Whether they use it or not, remains to be seen.

Thanks a lot, appreciate the comments, I started a little while ago and all are hand-regged except my 3DChannel.com, which I bought a week or so ago. (really good price IMO)

I have searched and realised most of the great names are gone, so I am speaking to a few existing owners to try and find nice deals. Most are asking ridiculous prices and most are the people who regged them years ago and have no idea what the names are worth.

I have made a deal on another good name (at least I think so) and I will post it as soon as its in my account. (Sedo purchase)

Simply put, HDTV.com is worth more today than 3DTV.com will be worth in 15 years (in 2010 dollars).

If any 3d name is going to be worth that much it would be something like 3D.com. i highly recommend you learn more about domains before you waste anymore money. you would have been much better off buying five 3D domains on the aftermarket for $500 a piece rather than hand registering 250 random 3D names and spending the same amount.

There is no way to compare what these names will sell for compared to what they are selling for now.It 's not going to be the same game. Poker.net sold for 1 million tveverywhere.com sold for 24 million Im not sure there will be rules to what is going to sell for what. Its going to be the art of the deal and how you make em. Please don't tell me about learning about domains there is no rhyme or reason it's do you have what they want and if yes they will pay. I spent 700 dollars and would not trade or give any away. It's going to take a few years Im aware of that.

Watching the noobs argue with some of the brilliant long term domain veterans like bmugford, ecalc, wot and many other well respected members (too many to list) is pure entertainment. These people know the business, and the noobs are dissing people I respect the most.

I have no problems with the 3d domain investment, just the massive stupidity that is demonstrated in this thread.
